All Stringendo students are invited to participate in this exciting performance opportunity.  Contestants will be featured in a recital open to the public.   Winners will be chosen by a panel of judges to perform with orchestral accompaniment at Stringendo's spring concerts.  Finalists will be featured in recital.  

  1. Participants must perform a piece or movement from the lists below OR a concerto with available string orchestra accompaniment (must be approved in advance by Stringendo)
  2. Participants must perform from memory with piano accompaniment. 
  3. Each participant may only perform once per year.
  4. Participants must be registered for both fall and spring semesters.
  5. Participants are eligible for any category, regardless of orchestral placement.
  6. Participants will be notified in advance of their performance time.  Performance times are not negotiable once assigned; please inform us of conflicts on your registration form.
  7. Each selection is limited to six minutes.  Appropriate cuts should be planned in advance.

Concerto Competition Recitals 2009

Students will perform solos from memory with piano accompaniment. Winners will be chosen to perform with Stringendo orchestras in the spring concert. Finalists will be chosen to perform in recital. No need to stay for the entire performance - just drop in and hear a few students perform. Please wait to enter or exit between performances.
